I'm sure you can prune it to keep it in check size-wise, and if it turned up and grew so happily in your garden (probably via bird) I'm sure you could grow more from seed if you fancied giving it a go. Hope your Dad is well again soon, so stressful for you and your Mum.Janet/Plantaliscioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15605580157193047780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-88899358623145682282012-12-07T11:56:03.360+00:002012-12-07T11:56:03.360+00:00I think so too and think the blackbirds are happy....I think so too and think the blackbirds are happy.
Annie_Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03140041665657746319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-51321702124877525122012-12-07T11:55:05.130+00:002012-12-07T11:55:05.130+00:00Yes its all quite stressful, but he seems to be im...Yes its all quite stressful, but he seems to be improving. It's stressful seeing a loved one ill at the best of times, but even more so at this time of year. I have a cotoneater just outside my window, it's smothered in berries at the moment. I love watching the blackbirds having their fill.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-64662142923185535722012-12-03T11:42:19.505+00:002012-12-03T11:42:19.505+00:00Sounds like you've got a lot on at the moment....Sounds like you've got a lot on at the moment. Hope your Dad is OK. The birds in the trees might have been long-tailed-tits. We have lots of them in our garden and they hang out in the apple trees together. They're very sweet and quite tame :)serendipityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06554603552983182516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-91803292881416817452012-12-03T10:04:39.198+00:002012-12-03T10:04:39.198+00:00I can see why you love it so much. Why not in the mean time try to grow another which you could maybe then plant somewhere more appropriate. I'm sure they must be fairly easy to grow from seed or maybe hardwood cuttings.

Sorry to hear your dad isn't well. It can be such a stressful time. Hope he gets better soon.
