It sounds a bit hard work but I love fennel roasted so I'm going to try sowing it earlier next year. I don't have much success with sowing in the ground either. I always get patchy results. Then I saw a beautifully sown and germinated row of seedlings at Heligan and wondered what I'm doing wrong. There's nothing like seeing another garden to feel really inferior !!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-22735350884341561182011-10-08T10:19:39.450+01:002011-10-08T10:19:39.450+01:00I sowed late end of May into modules and planted o...I sowed late end of May into modules and planted out when seedling size. But I didn't do that well either only 3 seedlings survived and got to eatable size. That was why I was so proud of that harvest. Think it was due to some dry weather at that time. A couple of weeks after I planted out I saw on my neighbours plot huge plants almost ready to crop so I'm going to try earlier next year and maybe sow in situ though I've not had much success with that this year. I seem to get very gappy rows of carrots and beetroot.Annie_Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03140041665657746319noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-67226492196731565152011-10-07T19:26:42.217+01:002011-10-07T19:26:42.217+01:00Wow I'm impressed with the produce.
