My paths have been so worthwhile. Sounds like you've got a busy year ahead of you. It is hard to keep up with everything. My back garden was a bit neglected last year but I don't want to do too much to it as it will probably be our last year here. Hope you have an excellent year. wellywomanhttp://www.wellywoman.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-24717933682246103522014-01-21T16:20:32.786+00:002014-01-21T16:20:32.786+00:00I like your paths, so useful in the veggie garden,...I like your paths, so useful in the veggie garden, although when we made ours, some of the paths weren't wide enough to get the wheelbarrow down - oops! We manage though with a bag for items to be composted which then go into the wheelbarrow at the entrance.Paulinehttp://www.leadupthegardenpath.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-653806139344166262014-01-19T20:45:03.151+00:002014-01-19T20:45:03.151+00:00I'm glad you had a lovely, relaxing Christmas....I'm glad you had a lovely, relaxing Christmas. I've been dividing a large veg bed into a smaller, more manageable beds, too, by creating a path through the middle. I'm so much happier with it now, even if I have lost a bit of space.
Good luck with all your 2014 plans!Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02792703802542843791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-64658605325086838562014-01-19T20:16:24.029+00:002014-01-19T20:16:24.029+00:00I', glad you had a relaxing Christmas, sounded...I', glad you had a relaxing Christmas, sounded like the rest did you good. It's lovely to start the year with firm plans for the garden and allotment and anything that makes gardening less time consuming is a good thing. You will have such fun with the greenhouse, I'm so glad you're getting one. I use mine all year round, at the moment it's full of cuttings. I would'nt ever want to be without one.xxxSnowbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08572555410663928295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-49098198095653757122014-01-19T10:20:34.504+00:002014-01-19T10:20:34.504+00:00"I think my plant enthusiasm overides common ..."I think my plant enthusiasm overides common sense a lot of the time, and I don't plan what I'm going to buy and plant " - now why does that ring so many bells with me Annie? :) It's good to read that you had time to take a breather over Christmas and that you are full of plans for the year ahead. Excellent advice about concentrating on working on couple of allotment beds at a time whether you are a newcomer or still establishing your plot. Looks as if you are getting a greenhouse at the best time of year. Have fun with it!Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10794392333038962798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-81624878684882161772014-01-19T09:39:47.909+00:002014-01-19T09:39:47.909+00:00It sounds like you've got lots of plans for th...It sounds like you've got lots of plans for the year, and it will be an exciting one with the new greenhouse. A little tip, I use my plastic greenhouse inside the main greenhouse to protect my seedlings better when the weather's still cold. It means that things can be sown just a little earlier, it works well. Good advice about the paths at the allotment. It's so disheartening to see a huge expanse of soil which needs digging, much easier when it's split in to sections.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-44034129291067821562014-01-19T09:36:34.218+00:002014-01-19T09:36:34.218+00:00Our plot is divided into beds too and I agree with...Our plot is divided into beds too and I agree with your assessment that it means that you can concentrate on one bed at a time and have a sense of achievement and satisfaction as you mentally tick off each bed worked on.Sue Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08164518448098182276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-78609542991799940002014-01-19T07:38:30.023+00:002014-01-19T07:38:30.023+00:00It's good to see that you had a relaxing time ...It's good to see that you had a relaxing time over Christmas/New Year.
The allotment is looking good, and what you've done will obviously help given that you've less time to work on it.
It also sounds like you'll be busy in the garden as well.
Happy gardening, Flighty xxFlightyhttp://flightplot.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
