I'm having to try to get up to the plot early before the heat of the day. With no shade up there I tend to wilt. Such a difference from last weekend when I was still wearing 2 pairs of socks and a jumper. We have the craziest weather.wellywomanhttp://www.wellywoman.wordpess.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-8977624561947236622012-05-27T18:18:59.327+01:002012-05-27T18:18:59.327+01:00I'm not keen on Chelsea but it's good to r...I'm not keen on Chelsea but it's good to read posts like this where you obviously had a most enjoyable day. Sometimes being on your own does have it's compensations.
Globe artichoke heads are normally cut late June through August when still green and unopened.
Flighty xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-55931147205583565472012-05-27T15:05:19.572+01:002012-05-27T15:05:19.572+01:00I am glad you enjoyed Chelsea - but it sound as if...I am glad you enjoyed Chelsea - but it sound as if you enjoyed the train journey more - it must be lovely to roar through the countryside catching glimpses of other peoples' gardens and allotments. The cow parsley and hawthorn blossom is beautiful right now. I haven't been on a train in years - you have whetted my appetite. Your allotment is looking very neat and tidy you have obviously been working very hard - love your artichoke so majestic looking aren't they.elaine https://www.blogger.com/profile/17075935631756457901noreply@blogger.com
