September is a great time of year visit places like this when it isn't so busy and the weather can be glorious.<br />I think the right books are such an important part of a good holiday and reading books set where you happen to be really adds to the enjoyment.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02792703802542843791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-79052352932826005832016-09-28T11:49:32.594+01:002016-09-28T11:49:32.594+01:00Surfing??? I fell in love with his writing and at the same time fell in love with Cornwall too. I remember the donkeys, Fred and Penny I think they were called, he wrote so beautifully about Jean, his wife and I was very upset when I read of her death. Glad you enjoyed the books too, I think I will try and find them when I am cruising the charity shops, re-reading them will bring it all back.elaine https://www.blogger.com/profile/17075935631756457901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-81914036693403994232016-09-27T21:23:38.591+01:002016-09-27T21:23:38.591+01:00What a wonderful place to visit. Being right at the edge of the village I can very quickly walk into 'real' darkness but I have to admit still loving it when we have a power cut so i can have that at home too. A week without mobiles and wifi...sounds like heaven!!Tanya.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08436595615435609755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7980536948969347626.post-43979548236364357512016-09-27T12:05:23.469+01:002016-09-27T12:05:23.469+01:00A nice post and lovely pictures. I tended to read Agatha Christie books when I went away. I like the owls.
